Pokemon Gold and Silver Remakes Confirmed
Well it seems the inevitable happened. Fans of the Pokemon series hoping for a 3D reboot (or at least some change in the formula) will have to wait a little longer as, following on the success of Fire Red and Leaf Green on the Gameboy Advance, Nintendo has announced that their sequels, Gold and Silver, are to be remade for the DS. The new versions are to be called Heart Gold and Soul Silver and the announcement comes as no surprise as rumours had been floating around since last week, when a Japanese show called ‘Pokemon Sunday’ teased the announcement of two new Pokemon games.
Gold and Silver were released in 2001 in Europe (1999 in Japan) and are (rightly) considered the best inthe series. Here’s hoping Heart Gold and Soul Silver retain both regions and all 16 gyms when they’re released in Japan in the Autumn. What do you think of the announcement?
