PS3 Motion Sensing Controller Resurfaces
As E3 approaches, rumors abound.
In an April 30th article, Variety claims “Sony’s much rumored motion sensing controller for the Playstation 3 is real and it will likely be unveiled at E3.”
The rumored controller is said to be more accurate than the Wii-mote because it uses a system of LEDs tracked by a webcam. This allows it to not only track side to side motions but also back and forth (to and from the TV) as well as velocity.
Kombo.com tells us that Sony has already contacted “select” developers about games that utilize controller.
Given the fact that Sony’s John Koller has talked about their intention to bring in the casual gamer and the prevailing idea that a Wii-like controller is the way to do it, this rumor probably has more truth to it than most.
