Left 4 Dead Cleans Up At The ELAN Awards
On Saturday, the 3rd annual ELAN awards took place in Vancouver, Canada. And it was a good day for Valve as Left 4 Dead pretty much sweeped the board, taking home 4 awards. It won Video Game of the Year, Best PC Game, Best Game Design and Outstanding Technical Innovation.
Bethesda’s Fallout 3 did well, picking up 2 awards for Best Console Game and Best Art Direction. In addition, there was a Best Student Video Game award, given to the creators of Deguiyu, which was created for the Xbox Live Community Games but has yet to actually be released for purchase.

- Best Console Game – Fallout 3
- Best PC Game – Left 4 Dead
- Best Casual/Arcade Game – Mystery Case Files : Return to Ravenhearst
- Best Mobile Handheld Game – Club Penguin : Elite Penguin Force
- Best Sound in a Video Game Production – Gears of War 2
- Best Art Direction – Fallout 3
- Best Game Design – Left 4 Dead
- Outstanding Technical Innovation – Left 4 Dead
