Capcom are bringing out some DLC for Street Fighter IV soon. Soon being Friday 24th April. This DLC is called ‘Championship Mode’ and is completely free. Interesting given the recent hubbub about the Resident Evil 5 DLC.

Anyway, Championship Mode contains some new features. You will get the chance to compete in tournaments of 5 different grades, which is intended to balance the game so you can play against people of your skill level. You’ll score Grade Points for tournament wins and you will be able to enter exclusive tournaments as you gain more points. Winning tournaments will get you Championship Points, which are designed to be like ‘prize money’.

In addition, there is also the new ‘Replay’ mode. On the PS3, you can rate matches you watch by giving them various characterstic words. On the Xbox 360, you will be able to download and save various matches, with the ability to view the full details of the button presses and combos used by the participants.

So there you go. April 24th, all for free!
