Fallout 3 The Pit: lets give it another shot! Preview Image

Bethesda and Microsoft have decided to release another new version of Fallout 3’s most recent downloadable content; The Pit.

The latest attempt is the third time a revision of the file has gone onto Microsoft’s Xbox Live service; the original file was corrupt before it hit the Xbox Live servers and then people downloaded that broken version and saw a few hundred red diamonds with giant exclamation points around the nuclear wasteland and the second attempt users were suffering major freezing issues while roaming the new area.

Personally, I never had any trouble at any point during the content and nor did anyone I know who bought it, but there must of been a problem somewhere for them to reissue the content onto the Xbox Live servers.

If your are having major freezing issues with The Pit, delete the content from your hard drive – if you don’t know how to, follow these very easy steps:

  • Sign in to Xbox LIVE then press the guide button
  • Go to Settings->System Settings->Memory.
  • From here, scroll down to Fallout 3 and press A.
  • Select Fallout 3: The Pitt (Marketplace Content) press A then choose Delete, then Yes to Delete.

    Still not sure whether I’ll get Fallout 3. I suppose if I haven’t decided yet, I probably never will.
