Halo Wars Breaks a Million Preview Image

We interrupt PeggleFest to bring you some Microsoft based numbers.

Ensemble’s swansong, Halo Wars, has now sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Apparantly, 2 million people downloaded the demo. The game entered the charts at number 2 in it’s first week, just behind Killzone 2.

Microsoft have also revealed that over 2.6 million multiplayer matches have been played since launch, with an average of 200,000 per day.

In a very surprising turn of events, Microsoft also said that they were working closely with the new development team Robot Entertainment, a company which is formed from former Ensemble Studios people. Interesting…
