Lost And Damned Sets Records
This afternoon, I bring you some news that may very well shock you, so you’d better sit somewhere comfortable and brace yourself.
The first DLC episode for GTA IV, Lost and Damned, has beaten Xbox Live’s first day revenue record, totally blowing all other DLC figures out of the water. Shocked yet? Well no, neither am I to be honest with you.
This may have been partly helped by the 1 week of free GTA IV online play that was available around the time of it’s release.
The success of Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned redefines what consumers expect from Game Add-ons,” said Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox LIVE. “Content like this is extending the lives of our favorite games and fundamentally changing the way we play.”
Well, I wouldn’t go that far, but then I haven’t played it yet. And I don’t plan on buying it until I complete the original game itself. Oh, and sorry for lying about the news being shocking.
