Yes ladies and gentle folk it is time for another edition of Whilrwind News here on BrutalGamer. Yes the following is a collection of tid-bits too small for their own post but significant enough to warrant posting :-

Sony Confirms Trophies for all
Rumored shortly after the release of firmware 2.40, now confirmed by Sony, is that as of January 20090 ALL future PS3 titles will support trophies. This will help patch up the sporadic support that has been found in recent titles and eliminate the need to patch a game 3 months after you have finished it to actually get the trophies… grrrr

Fallout 3 getting patched
And on that note of patching for trophies Bethesda have announced, via their forums, that they are working on a patch for Fallout 3. Yes everyone assumed they must be as so much of Fallout 3 is broken right out of the box (graphic glitches, crashes etc) but it’s nice to have formal confirmation. No time scale has been given for the release as of yet.

General release hinted at for David Jaffe’s new game
The creator of the God of War and Twisted Metal franchise is rumoured to be working on 3 exclusive PS3 titles for Sony. One is rumored to be a update for Twisted Meta but the other two remain a mystery. Well Mr Jaffe updated his blog yesterday and gave hints to a new release sometime in 2010 – hey it vague but it’s a start :)

The return of Altaire – sort of
With the release of the new Prince of Persia game Ubisoft have announced two new skins for the game. One will be the prince from Sands of Time (available for our US readers by pre-ordering from Gamestop) and the other is a rather spanky looking Altaire skin. Yes the big fella makes a guest appearance and helps keep the franchise visible for Ubisoft – no word yet on how you obtain/unlock this skin. (Image at the top.)

Fight night Round 4 coming soon
EA is due to reveal the latest iteration in it’s good looking brawler series, Fight night 4. It will be unveiled at a press conference on December the 14th. Should be interesting to see what they have done to the title over the last 3 years since the release of FN 3.
